Welcome to our new show page! We designed these pages to make it easy for you to get all the information you need for the chapter shows. So check back often to see what’s new. 2012 CDS SAN DIEGO CHAPTER SHOWS:
- CANCELLED** February 11-12 : CDS San Diego Chapter Mid Winter Show #329721 (See paragraph below for more info re cancellation).
- June 16-17 (tentative)*:Dressage at Del Mar Show #324920
- August 11-12: CDS San Diego Chapter Summer Show #605
- September 22-23: CDS San Diego Fall Show #1848
**Due to the EHV-1 outbreak, Del Mar Horsepark is abiding by the recommended 21-day shutdown, which means horses will not be allowed to enter the facility for 21 days, and horses that leave the facility will not be allowed to return. As a result, our February show must be cancelled. At this point, we expect to hold our June show. We have several viable options that we are exploring and will make a formal announcement once we have something finalized. Those who have already paid for the February Show will receive refunds. *This year, The 22DAA will use Horsepark for San Diego Fair parking. We are looking for an alternative venue for the June show.
The shows will be held at Del Mar Horsepark located at 14550 El Camino Real, Del Mar, CA 92014, unless otherwise noted.
Classes offered: Training Level to Grand Prix, Freestyle Test of Choice, Pas de Deux, and USDF Materiale Classes. Click on the appropriate show (see show dates above) to view the premium, entry forms and all the other important information.
Each show is USEF/USDF/CDS recognized, Dressage Level 2.
NEWS:
- Opportunity classes offered: Chapter shows will now offer Opportunity Classes. Designed for entry level riders and young horses, these Training and First Level classes are open to all Horse and Riders regardless of your membership status (USEF/USDF/CDS). These classes are a great way to experience a San Diego Chapter Show. To find out more, click on the appropriate link (see show dates above) to view the PREMIUM.
- On line show registration and payment: CDS San Diego is now offering on line show registration and payment with Equestrian Entries. Once you create your profile on the system, you can easily enter any show on the Equestrian Entry calendar. With over 5,000 members and supporting shows across the nation, Equestrian Entries is the fast and efficient way to enter Dressage shows. Each chapter show will offer Equestrian Entries for registration. Go to www.equestrianentries.com and view the short videos on how to get started. It’s easy!
- New Circuit Changes: 2012 brings positive new changes to the San Diego Chapter Show circuit; most notable is the elimination of the 4 hour volunteer requirement to qualify for end of the year awards. That doesn’t mean we don’t need volunteers to put on our signature events, only that as a competitor you won’t be required to have volunteer hours to become a circuit winner.
