Bev Tappan began riding at age 46, after moving to Del Mar from Alabama. Inspired by the 1984 EQ Olympics, she competed in eventing for several years. She began dressage in 2001.
Bev trains at Fairbanks with Elizabeth Ball. Dubois, her 17h Hanoverian gelding, is by Davignon, a son of Donnerhall. They will be showing at 3rd Level in 2007.
Bev is a retired high school teacher, now with a private practice in Educational Therapy. She is married to Taps, who shares a passion for flying, sailing and horses. They have 3 sons and 7 grandchildren located in Northern California, Columbia, MO, and Rome, Italy (US Embassy).
